Regional Section Purpose

The primary goal of the regional section is to promote and advance Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM) and Clinical Toxicology (CT) activities across the region with emphasis on collaboration, inclusivity, and capacity building across the region and the young scientists groups.

  • TDM and clinical toxicology education webinar series (2-3 webinars per year)
  • Young scientists sessions to empower young professionals, promote their research and discuss emerging or region-specific challenges
  • Collaborative work with other societies in the region (Medical Toxicology Network for Sub-Saharan Africa, National and regional toxicology / pharmacology groups etc.)
  • Online regional member meetings (3 meetings/year)

Starting 2027:

  • Host a regional conference every two years
  • Submit symposia proposals of the regional section to the IATDMCT Conference for the particular year
  • Participate in conferences through symposia/workshops under the auspices of the IATDMCT regional section
